Then you blow the whistle again and it means that the game should start. The aim of the game is that the shark should not be allowed to touch the ball. The player may select to pass the ball to anyone along the circle, be it a teammate right next to him or a teammate far away. Players try to make as many passes as possible.

This goes on till the time the shark gets the ball.

When the ball is captured, the player that caused the ball to be intercepted becomes the new shark and the first shark finds a place along the circle.

Shark in the Middle finds a place among those football drills that require a sharp thinking and an idea of the experience of the shark.

What if I told you that stretching as a part of soccer training tips is highly recommended by professional soccer coaches and is widely practiced by players in almost every sport? Soccer is one of such sports that is always growing and developing in its complexity.

There are two types of stretching that can be incorporated in kid’s training for soccer; static and dynamic stretching.

In static stretching, players stretch their muscles to a certain point of resistance and then hold for some period of time. Dynamic stretching involves rhythmic bouncing, rebounding and recurring motions. It is generally considered as more dangerous and less effective than static stretching.

There are some advantages of practicing stretching discussed in this article that improve a player’s ability to become an exceptional player.

Soccer Training

Stretching reduces injuries: Stretching helps bring down the risks of injury when performed over a period of time by stretching the muscles daily, thus promoting their growth. Stretching provides a way of growing the muscle mass and strength as well.

Stretching influences flexibility: Stretching puts off the loss of flexibility. Still, the effects of stretching are way better when it is done for a long period of time than for a shorter duration.

Performing stretching for a few minutes before starting any playing activity is likely to enhance flexibility. But, of all the soccer training tips, the best is where stretching program is extended over a longer period of time that constantly improves the player’s range of motion.

Stretching betters’ performance: When the stretching program is planned after considering the player’s soccer specific needs, their performance improves.

Stretching can be a lot of fun: For this, you need to add variety in your soccer drills and focus a lot on performing them. Keep varying the warm-up activities you do before stretching. Try to include games such as the tag game, ball tag, and keep away.

Focus mentally on the stretching and feel and understand each stretch, checking for stiffness or soreness.

For a majority of kids, one stretch of15-30 minutes is sufficient for each muscle group but some kids may take longer stretches or more repetitions.

The reason for this is that when the temperature of muscles is higher than normal, stiffness decreases and extensibility increases. Those players who wish to sustain or increase their flexibility can partially attain this goal by stretching. Doing stretching when the body temperature is higher as against normal makes it more productive, safe, and sound.

That’s why some experienced coaches recommend stretching after a workout also. If your kids stretch for 5-10 minutes after performing soccer skills, their muscles will not tighten too fast.

Generally, players who exercise an active warm-up prior to stretching get a better range of motion than those who only stretch. So if injury prevention is your aim, stop stretching before exercise and increase the warm up time.

When feeling stiff or inflexible, the most important soccer training tips is to allow kids to warm up sufficiently, as doing stretches would not help them become flexible, and will become boring and futile. Player 3 uses two touches, gets control of the ball with the first, and shoots with the second.

Free Soccer Training Drills: Discover The Art Of Switching

You might disagree, but hear me out on this. While practicing free soccer training drills, one of the best plans to attack the other team is, to keep exchanging the ball within the team members, and finding a loop hole in the defenders of the other team thus achieving the goal. Following we’ll discuss some of the soccer coaching drills techniques, that would enable coaches to train the players with these skills.

A match-winning line of attack: Get your team to keep the game flowing and divide defenses by swaying the ball from one side to the other to make space and outnumber the defense. Moving the ball from one to another player within the team helps reducing the stress.

The Fast switch or the Blind Pass: Teach one or two mid-fielders to throw the blind pass by moving the ball using right foot, and hitting it to the left.Speedy Switching or Blind Pass: A blind pass can be accomplished, rolling the ball using right foot, while throwing it to left; one or two mid-fielders must be knowing this technique. Left-footed mid-fielder, can perform the trick by moving the ball using the left foot and throwing it back to the right side using left foot.

The defender on the other side won’t suspect the pass and you can achieve the target.

Soccer Drills

This technique should frequently be used, and all of the players should become accustomed to it. Of all the soccer drills, your kids may find this drill rather difficult but it is it’s competitive nature that guarantees player’s total participation in soccer practice.

This drill requires six small goals on either side of the pitch. The team scores where the player runs through the goals which are placed in the middle, while playing from the back. To encourage switching, set two points for passing through the last goals.

During free soccer training drills, the goals should be made sufficiently wide to show that there is not much use just positioning a player between them to prevent a run or pass. Select one player to run from goal A to B. When they are in between the goal, the opposition won’t be able to score.

Usually, during the play, youngsters, tend to move away from their positions. They have tendency to move towards the ball. Hence the defenders can be caught by surprise if the mid fielders learn to identify the opportunity areas and move the play on the other side of the field.

In the subsequent football drills session, spend some time demonstrating to players how to cover the total width of the pitch. Impart the skill and repeat a few times, especially make them realize where the actual attacking threat may raise.

Weight Training Soccer: Discover Soccer Conditioning

In soccer training Weight training soccer plays an important role in creating tougher and quicker muscles, this you might have heard a lot of times. Your players will have a chance to play at a higher level if they develop themselves using this soccer fitness plan discussed as follows.

The new theory of soccer weight training is to have strong and fast muscles with higher stamina rather that to keep on adding pounds of muscle bulk. Upper body weight training for soccer is not as important as is for the legs, but we still do it for overall conditioning and strength.

I think fitness training should start with the legs. It should be started with the crouching exercises first. When you are done with this warm up activity players are supposed to do 20 reps, so bar to be loaded should be according to their capacity. Considering that they have good strength, hence give them 220 pounds to start with. The exercise involves getting under the bar then placing it on the upper back and finally standing up with it.

They should then get out of the stands and stand with their feet and shoulder width apart. After that they must lower their body while holding on to the bar till their hips are a little bit below the top of their knee. Coming up to this point in weight training soccer, they are supposed to stand up fast and exhale. Tell them to continue this practice for at least 20 reps even when they are completely exhausted.

Youth Soccer Drills

They should be given a break of 5-10 minutes before switching to the leg curl machine to work on hamstrings. Your players will be doing 4 sets of 15 reps each. The Stiff-Legged Dead lift with 4 sets of 15 reps should be completed between each set of Leg Curls. As player’s speed is greatly improves by strong hamstrings, so they should be very tough.

Finish the leg workouts on Standing calf-raise machine and doing 3 sets of 25 reps

Begin with using the Incline bench press, for the upper body workout.
Now when the they are warmed up they must go on by including enough weights so that the next set of 10 reps is harder to do. They are supposed keep on doing weights for a total of 5 sets of 10 reps, while stretching their chest and shoulders, however taking a break of 2 minutes between each set.

Now we move to the second workout of this session of soccer strength training which are the pull-up exercises. Players should do this with their palms facing their body to work their biceps as well as the back. The last phase of upper body exercises is to concentrate on the abdominals and leg raises of about 5 sets of 20 or more repetitions. Conclude with 5 sets of 50 or more crunching exercises.
